Over the next month I am excited to check out various apps for the iPod touch, especially in regards to math. I am not sure if students will be able to use the apps this year or not as our district has a review policy that seems to take time. I would love to get a few apps in place and be able to allow my students the opportunity to work with the iPod.
I am wondering what kind of apps are out there that will help students and keep them motivated with addition/subtraction facts. Right now my students are motivated by card games and online computer games. I really think it would motivate a number of students and I am certain it would alleviate a few behavior problems with a few students this year. Why is it that many students are motivated by any aspects of technology? How would using an iPod in math and reading engage students?
I am very excited to take a look at apps and hoping to find a few for math and reading that would be beneficial for my students.
I'd love to hear about some of the apps you have in mind. I use mine mainly to play music, but I can see how other apps could be helpful in the classroom. Maybe you can share during our next weekend together?

I am hoping to use them for some daily math games, spanish apps, reading, and for music. My main focus is to find some great apps to help with areas in math. I have not been too successful with this but have found a few that are just ok. It has been so busy that it has been difficult to find time to search for apps.
