Seven Norms of Collaboration

Inventories: Seven Norms of Collaboration & Effective Meetings
Norms of Collaboration - Annotated

What could I use from this information that would be helpful in my work setting?
1. I feel that I could pose questions of others to inquire about their thinking instead of my own.
2. I also I feel that I could work on my paraphrasing of others' thoughts and ideas by showing that I understand and also that I heard their ideas.
*One area I feel that my grade level could improve on is that of pausing. Often times, we are quick to give an answer to a question or give our own thoughts on something before we truly have time to think about it. In addition, we are quick to move on from one topic to another without appropriate wait time and/or pausing.

What barriers could hold me back?
I need to make sure my colleagues understand some of the norms. I could  work on some of these areas but I feel it takes a team and everyone working together. I like the picture of the people rowing is essential - it takes everyone rowing in the same direction and working together to accomplish various goals.
