Transitions

As I am working towards my mini study, I am finding it to be successful with most of my students. They enjoy having me time them, record how long it takes them to transition and get ready for leaving the room. I have noticed my students have improved a little in the time needed to get everyone ready; however, we are still waiting for one or two students most days. It definitely has helped students transition out of the classroom and save a little time. But how can I make use of it to get them to come back into the room the same way.
In the book, Teach Like a Champion, Lemov also discusses a technique called Do it Again. In this technique a teacher has students do the repeated action again in hopes to have them do it correctly in order to reinforce good choices and eliminate wasted time. In using both techniques, it has helped my students in our transition times and eliminating unwanted behavior. Most of them know they need to do their best work otherwise our class will end up doing it again. Despite our work,I still have 1 or 2 students that struggle with this idea and are still doing their own thing. What do I do with those students?
Do I have the whole class do it again? Or just transition and leave those students behind?
So far I have collected data and made some observations from what I have seen, what other pieces of data can I collect from incorporating this mini study. Is there anyway I can create a survey about how my students feel about using these techniques?
