I had the opportunity to present my action research with my colleagues, principal, curriculum director and a few other Hudson 2 Learning Community members this past week. There were 15-20 people who attended my presentation.
Might I say, it was a nervous experience for me but having a prezi presentation and being prepared for it helped it run smoothly. It was another step in helping me become a better teacher leader. I was able to use prezi.com for my presentation. The use of a prezi was a new step for me, it took some time to prepare t as well as set it up the way I wanted it. It was a nice piece of technology that allowed me to show others how it can be utilized.  However, I had many positive comments on how I set it up as well as with that program.

Throughout the presentation, questions were asked and comments were given in relation to my action research and findings in this study. I felt like there were a good amount of questions involving some of the things I did as well as what I will do as a result of my work. Overall, there was positive feedback given to me in the work that I completed. Considering my students made nice gains with their math facts, I will continue my work with math games throughout the rest of the school year. I also brought handouts of the math games used in the study for teachers to bring back into their classrooms to use with their students.  I also will be passing out some handouts to those who were not able to attend.
I am hoping my work will help many teachers in my building take a step to do more things in their classrooms to help students become more fluent with math facts. Something as simple as math games may have a positive impact on their ability to recall math facts.
